Thank you for accepting our invitation to speak at the 2026 I2SL Annual Conference September 14 through 16 in Boston! This online kit is intended to provide you with the logistical information you will need leading up to the event.

Speakers' Major Deadlines:

  • Email info@i2sl.org (or reply to your acceptance email) your acceptance and intent to present by Friday, May 15.

  • Participate in a conference call with the session moderator by Friday, August 28.

  • Register for the conference by Wednesday, August 26.

  • Submit your final PowerPoint presentation by Wednesday, September 9.

Please note that as a conference speaker, you must:

  • Register and pay the registration fee; note that speakers get a discounted rate.

  • Attend the conference in person during your presentation time. Note that we will not have an option for remote presenters.

Speaker Registration

Deadline: Wednesday, August 26

Speakers receive a discounted registration fee of $950 for I2SL members, $1,150 for non-members. Note: universities, government employees, and nonprofits qualify for a lower rate, and you may use that when you register if you work for one. Each presentation will receive no more than two discounted registrations. Speakers who do not register by Wednesday, August 26, may be ineligible to receive this registration discount. Enter the code PRES@BOS26 in the discount box at checkout and click “apply” to receive the discounted speaker rate. Contact I2SL with any questions.

Speaker Cancellation

If you are unable to attend the conference, you must notify I2SL by July 24 and provide a replacement speaker if possible. If you cannot speak and do not notify I2SL or provide a replacement speaker by this deadline, I2SL may not be able to consider you as a speaker for future conferences.

Submitting Your Presentation

Deadline: Wednesday, September 9 (Final PowerPoint files are due by this date.)

Please ensure that your presentation is complete and final when you submit it to I2SL.

To submit your presentation:

  1. Ensure your PowerPoint presentation is created in Widescreen (16:9) format.

  2. Name your presentation with your session number followed by your last name (e.g., "E1_Jones").

  3. In your browser, navigate to the 2026 I2SL Annual Conference Presentations Google Drive folder.

  4. Save your presentation in the folder labeled with your session number (e.g., E1).

Presentation Content Requirements

Each presentation in a technical session is allotted 25 minutes for the presentation; however, I2SL recommends allotting 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for questions and answers. Speakers are responsible for preparing their own presentation materials. All presentations must be in PowerPoint or Adobe PDF, unless you notify us.

  • Slide 1: This slide should include your presentation title and speakers. This is one of only two slides that can include your company logo.

  • Slide 2: This slide must state clear and actionable learning objectives. Learning objectives are statements that provide a context for what will be shared during the presentation.

Presentation content must be unbiased and not disparage, promote, or market any individual's or company's products or services. Program materials may not include any proprietary information, must be educational and generic in nature, and must reinforce the learning objectives.

View I2SL's Presentation Best Practices for tips on developing your presentation. Unless otherwise discussed with I2SL, your presentation will be one of three presentations taking place during your session.

Preparing for the Conference

Deadline: Wednesday, August 26

Each moderator will be coordinating a conference call with the speakers in their assigned session in early August. This brief call provides an opportunity for moderators to confirm name pronunciation and allows speakers to discuss the order and content of their presentations. Unless discussed with the moderator and approved by I2SL, the order of presentations shown in the agenda on the I2SL website is the order that should be followed during the conference. Please let I2SL know if you have not heard from your session’s moderator by August 21.

Audiovisual Equipment

The following audiovisual equipment will be available in each session room at the conference:

  • LCD projector with screen

  • PC laptop computer with Microsoft Office

  • A podium microphone and one shared microphone on the head table

Please note:

  • Internet access may NOT be available in the session rooms.

  • You will NOT be permitted to use your personal laptop or tablet computer for your presentation.

  • There will be no sound on the laptop to play any videos requiring sound.

Onsite Logistics

Speaker Check-In: Speakers will check in at the same registration desk as other attendees.

Speaker Ready Room: Speakers can practice their presentations in the Speaker Ready Room. Speakers can find a member of the conference planning staff to gain access to the room.

Prior to Your Presentation: Arrive at your designated presentation room at least 10 minutes prior to the session to check in with the session moderator.

During Your Presentation: Unless otherwise discussed with I2SL, your presentation will be one of three presentations taking place during your session. It is important that you respect the other speakers by not exceeding the 25 minutes allocated for your presentation. Also, speakers must be present for the entire session and participate in the question-and-answer period.
