Presentation Content Requirements
presentation content requirements

Each presentation in a technical session is allotted 25 minutes for the presentation; however, I2SL recommends allotting 20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for questions and answers. Speakers are responsible for preparing their own presentation materials. All presentations must be in PowerPoint (2007 version and newer) or Adobe PDF, unless you notify us.

  • Slide 1: This slide should include your presentation title and speakers. This is one of only two slides that can include your company logo.

  • Slide 2: This slide must state clear and actionable learning objectives. Learning objectives are statements that provide a context for what will be shared during the presentation.

Presentation content must be unbiased and not disparage, promote, or market any individual's or company's products or services. Program materials may not include any proprietary information, must be educational and generic in nature, and must reinforce the learning objectives.

View I2SL's Presentation Best Practices for tips on developing your presentation. Your presentation will be one of three presentations taking place during your session.

Preparing for the Conference
preparing for the conference

Each moderator will be coordinating a conference call with the speakers in their assigned session in early September. This brief call provides an opportunity for moderators to confirm name pronunciation and allows speakers to discuss the content of their presentations. Please let I2SL know if you have not heard from your session’s moderator by the beginning of October.

Audiovisual Equipment

The following audiovisual equipment will be available in each session room at the conference:

  • LCD projector with screen

  • PC laptop computer with Microsoft Office

  • Podium microphone

  • Microphones on the head table for moderator and session speakers

  • Slide advancer/laser pointer (if requested in advance)

  • Sound patch to play audio files from the laptop (if requested in advance)

Please note:

  • Internet access may NOT be available in the session rooms.

  • You will NOT be permitted to use your personal laptop or tablet computer for your presentation.

Onsite Logistics

  • Speaker Check-In: Speakers will check-in at the same registration desk as the general public.

  • Speaker Ready Room: Speakers can practice their presentations in the Speaker Ready Room. Speakers can find a member of the conference planning staff to gain access to the room.

  • Prior to Your Presentation: Arrive at your designated presentation room at least 10 minutes prior to the session to check in with the session moderator.

  • During Your Presentation: Your presentation will be one of three presentations taking place during your session. It is important that you respect the other speakers by not exceeding the 25 minutes allocated for your presentation. Also, speakers must be present for the entire session and participate in the question-and-answer period.
