I2SL Returns to Boston to Pioneer Revolutionary Ideas in Sustainability

The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) is coming back to Boston for our next Annual Conference, September 13 through 16 at the Encore Boston Harbor Hotel. Hundreds of lab owners, operators, designers, engineers, managers, builders, and green labs professionals will attend technical sessions, visit exhibits, network with peers, and tour sustainable laboratories. Boston boasts the nation’s first college and remains a hub of biotechnology and research, offering the perfect setting for discussing the latest sustainable lab innovations.

Like the students at Boston’s myriad academic institutions, attendees will learn and earn credits on topics such as sustainable design, system optimization, sustainable science, lab decarbonization, and much more. The Call for Presenters is open until February 20—with an extended deadline of February 27 for I2SL members. Presenting at the Annual Conference is a great opportunity to network with leaders in the field and share your expertise. Selected speakers receive a significant discount on registration, so submit an abstract for a chance to speak and get the best rate!

The Technology Fair will feature products and services that address lab sustainability challenges, decarbonization, and energy efficiency. A Welcome Reception on September 14 allows attendees to view the exhibits and network with peers. The Encore has 15 restaurants and lounges for more networking after hours, as well as an onsite casino and a nightclub. The Encore also provides free water shuttle service to Boston’s Long Wharf North, giving you a chance to explore other parts of the city.
