Brad Cochran has over 30 years of experience conducting dispersion assessments for labs, hospitals, and data centers. He has led the development of VAV design and control techniques to minimize  energy consumption for lab exhaust stacks. He has a mechanical engineering BS and MS and is a PE in Colorado.

Sarah Grady, PE, leads energy engineers at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, developing conservation projects for laboratories across the country.  She has a mechanical engineering BS and an MS in Engineering Leadership.

Justin Garner is Engineered Air Balance's Vice President and  Houston Branch Manager. He has over 22 years in building commissioning and testing, adjusting, and balancing of HVAC systems. Justin has extensive experience in healthcare facilities, life science research, vivarium and BSL facilities.

David Hughes is a Senior Chemist

at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals. He has over 20 years of lab experience. David leads AstraZeneca’s Green Labs program for quality control laboratories in the Americas region. David has a BS in Chemistry from Xavier University and sincerely believes in the value of friends and family.

Christina Greever-Wilson has been

in the laboratory sustainability field since 2015, first at the University of Colorado Boulder and since 2019 with My Green Lab. As a Senior Programs Manager, she leads the International Laboratory Freezer Challenge and supports My Green Lab Certification. She earned an Emerging Leaders Award from I2SL in 2022.

Emily Colpack is the Green Labs Coordinator at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she has overseen the Green Labs Program since 2020. Emily works with labs on reducing energy, water, and waste generation. She helped implement a robust lab recycling program and the Freezer Challenge at UAB.

Jacob Knowles is the Chief Sustainability Officer at BR+A Consulting Engineers. He has championed over 30 million square feet of carbon neutral buildings and campuses. His work has resulted in numerous grants and awards, including three AIA COTE Top Ten awards and three I2SL Go Beyond awards.


Steven Sobo, PE, FMP, SFP is the Executive Director of Strategic Projects at Washington University School of Medicine. With a background in medical research and healthcare, he excels as a project director who is an expert in negotiation, operations, budgeting, and facility management.

Jennifer Isaac is an Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Associate Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. She is responsible for environmental, health, and safety programs and manages corporate sustainability programs, including greenhouse gas emissions and green building certification.

Since 2015, he and his team have developed and applied technical methods to evaluate, optimize, and manage ventilation risk and effectiveness in labs and critical workspaces. Jim Coogan, P.E., develops

controls for mechanical systems at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. His specialty is critical ventilation control. Jim chaired the committee that recently revised the Z9.5 Laboratory Ventilation standard. Jim earned his SB at MIT.

Taylor Teed is a PE and a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Cator, Ruma & Associates in Denver. She has designed HVAC and plumbing systems for lab and research facilities at higher education campuses, government campuses, private sector developer lab buildings, pharmaceutical labs and high-performance data centers.

Dan Bhatt has focused his career

on incorporating sustainability into scientific research and various levels within an organization. Currently, he does this as a Senior Research Associate in Gilead Sciences' Formulations and Process Development group and pursues a Master’s in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University.

Himaghna Kuntumalla is an undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in Chemical and Biological Engineering. She has been a student assistant for the Green Labs Program for 2 academic years and has contributed to green chemistry efforts with the CU Boulder Department of Chemistry.

Colin Hale, PE, WELL AP, is a mechanical engineer and sustainability leader at CannonDesign’s St. Louis office. He excels in problem-solving and driving results. With a focus on energy and wellness, he leads engineering teams in diverse projects, prioritizing sustainability in high-energy buildings such as hospitals and labs.

Principal and leader in Sasaki's Science & Technology practice. He has over 20 years of experience focusing on research space planning for academic institutions and built work for both institutional and commercial clients.


Punit Jain, AIA, LEED Fellow, is

leader in the science, technology and sustainability practices at CannonDesign. He has extensive experience in the integration of systems, spaces, and experiences. He is responsible for generating innovative solutions in regenerative and net-zero designs for complex scientific facilities.
