A Global View
on Laboratory Sustainability

The International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), EGNATON, and Sustainable Labs Canada (SLCan) hosted the second annual virtual, international Education Week. Over the course of five days, attendees from across the globe heard live sessions on sustainable lab design, lab decarbonization strategies, efficient ventilation systems, and green lab leadership. Through a partnership with SLCan and EGNATON, this year’s event offered a wide variety of international perspectives, along with I2SL award winners and some of the top speakers from I2SL, EGNATON and SLCan’s annual conferences. New this year, two keynote presentations took attendees on a journey through the Smart Labs of the future, I2SL’s new Labs2Zero program, and the path towards better collaboration and sustainable design through Indigenous Ways of Knowing.

If you would like to request Continuing Education Credits for Education Week, please complete this survey. If you an American Institute for Architects (AIA) member, please include your AIA number so I2SL can report your attendance to AIA. For other types of professional development credits, I2SL will email a certificate of attendance that can be used to self-report attendance.
