I²SL Workshop: Energy Sub-Metering and Benchmarking Workshop

This workshop describes the value of sub-metering laboratory spaces and how the practice can support management and sustainability goals. Participants will be given an overview of a new tool created to help owners and laboratory personnel understand the value of energy management. Because owners and operators rarely know how their building operating costs compare to similar facilities, the workshop describes the Labs21 Energy Benchmarking Tool, which provides a comparison of energy performance between facilities and thereby helps identify potential energy cost-savings opportunities.
