I2SL is proud to welcome the Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) as its partner in the Laboratories for the 21st Century (Labs21) 2006 Annual Conference Technology and Services Fair. The fair will be held in parallel with the Labs21 2006 Annual Conference, taking place October 17-19 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
SEFA and many of its members have long participated in Labs21 events, and many members have been and continue to become Labs21 Supporters. Now through I2SL, SEFA and its members have another avenue through which they can actively support the Labs21 program and be recognized for their efforts. As co-sponsor with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) of the Labs21 2006 Annual Conference, I2SL has also partnered with SEFA to sponsor the Technology and Services Fair. The fair will provide exhibitors an excellent opportunity to showcase their latest, most innovative products and services relating to sustainable laboratory technology and design.
I2SL and SEFA have agreed to offer SEFA members a $500 discount on booth reservations for the fair. Additionally, as part of the combined effort with I2SL to increase the growing network of organizations concerned with sustainable laboratories, SEFA has scheduled its fall conference for October 19-20, 2006, in San Antonio, immediately following the Labs21 Conference. I2SL is confident that this will increase the interest in both events, provide added value to SEFA members, and further promote the Labs21 conference, the Technology and Services Fair, and all of SEFA’s participating exhibitors.
Six years ago, as an organization dedicated to the creation of humane, safe, and effective laboratory environments, SEFA committed to offering an annual trade show/convention for the laboratory community as one of its major goals. By gaining co-sponsorship of the Labs21 Annual Conference and workshops with EPA and DOE, I2SL provides SEFA a partnership opportunity through which its members gain a significant avenue to directly present their products to their consumers. I2SL agrees and hopes that its partnership with SEFA will help to increase awareness of the Labs21 program and its conference, and demonstrate I2SL’s willingness to partner with other laboratory organizations and industry sectors (including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; combined heat and power; environmental health and safety; etc). These partnerships will hopefully increase I2SL’s visibility in the Labs21 community, ensure the continued financial viability of Labs21, and support the program’s growth globally.
