Formerly Part II of the Labs21 Advanced Course:
Laboratory Ventilation and Design
Want to lower your laboratory’s energy use? Consider heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) duct pressures. During this workshop attendees will learn various approaches to low-pressure HVAC system design that lower laboratory energy consumption. The workshop provides a range of design experiences and practices that reduce air delivery pressures by providing examples of "good" and "better" low-pressure design practices and case studies of their applications and energy savings in operating laboratories.
This course is recommended for, but not limited to, the following occupations:
While the course is open to everyone, it is recommended that participants
have a basic understanding of laboratory ventilation and design issues
or have taken the Labs21 Introductory Course
This course is worth 3 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for professional engineers and 3 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) from the American Institute of Architects for registered architects.
